About The Role

As we move into a new 3 years business strategy with considerable growth planned, Nisbets need to expland the IT Service Desk further to ensure the business are fully supported and able to match customer demand. We are therefore looking for a customer focused and inquisitive IT Support Technician to join the team in Bristol to ensure we to continue to offer a value added service to our internal customers. We need someone who is pragmatic and logical in approach, who is driven to find an answer utilising their technical knowledge. Your shift pattern will be Monday to Friday on a rotational basis which includes 8am – 4:45pm, 8:30am – 5:15pm & 8:45am – 17:30pm shifts, with some on call requirement. A car driver will be required for this role to travel between our estate in Avonmouth.

What will you be doing as an IT Support Technician?

  • Provide appropriate technical support for hardware, software and networks across the business
  • Work with internal colleagues and third parties in order to deliver technical services, ensuring established service levels are adhered to at all times
  • Use automation wherever possible to build or improve existing technical capabilities, driving down the rate of BAU IT operations
  • Delivery of exceptional service to all users of IT, within a structured IT environment aligned to industry standard frameworks (ITIL Framework)
  • Focus on solving customer’s problems, striving to continuously better understand our internal customer’s needs
  • Be aware of the key IT and cyber risks, proactively operating to minimise these risks within the remit of the role, acting quickly to notify of any potential or identified IT risks through the appropriate incidents and escalations process

 

About You

What are we looking for in an IT Support Technician?

  • Experience in an IT Support Desk environment with a strong technical skills and knowledge of:
  • Windows 10
  • Office 365
  • Hardware support
  • Building laptops, computers, printers
  • VMware
  • Mobile devices
