About The Role

Nisbets are currently looking to recruit a Retail Operations Coordinator, who will provide effective support to the Retail Operations function by pro-actively managingcommunications between the Retail Field team and other departments. The role will involve coordinating Retailspecific operational projects to drive efficiencies in store and ensuring the Retail StoreEnvironment is reflective and relevant to our customers.

This role is based in Avonmouth, although there would be an expectation to visit stores around the country occasionally to meet store colleagues and understand varying retail environments throughout the UK, or due to Retail project requirements. This may involve an occasional overnight stay. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Takes a leading role in coordinating Retail Operational projects
  • Work collaboratively with key specialists within the Operations team offering guidance and knowledge of the store environment, whilst ensuring store colleagues are consulted and kept up to date on all relevant projects or work streams
  • Writes new, and updates existing Standard Operating Procedures. Maintains SOP library in a current and relevant format that’s easy for stores to use.
  • Uses new and innovative ways to share Retail specific communications to gain buy in and delivery of operational procedures and policies in our stores.
  • Constantly reviews and improves the support provided from central to our stores.
  • Co-Ordinates Retail stock delivery schedules by working with and being key contact for Warehouse and Transport departments
  • Manages processes for ordering store sundries e.g, stationary, BOH or “Own Use” items
  • Any other ad hoc duties at the request of your line manager.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following: 
  • Prior Retail experience is essential, ideally having worked on a shop floor as Retail staff at management level
  • Prior experience in Retail Operations preferred
  • Experience of collaborative working with multiple departments and colleagues with the ability to adapt communication style for different levels of store colleagues/managers
  • Ability to gain colleague's buy-in for new initiatives, projects & processes.
  • Positive, upbeat attitude
  • Good understanding of stock ordering systems (Maginus preferred)
  • Experience of collaborative working with multiple departments and colleagues with diverse abilities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel occasionally if required to experience and understand regional variations and requirements of stores.
