About The Role

Nisbets is investing heavily in productivity enhancements though the development of automation systems in its main fulfilment centre in Avonmouth, Bristol, and as such we need to build out a Maintenance Team who will manage this new equipment. The new automation will make use of cutting-edge robotic technology as well as other equipment such a boxing machines and conveyor systems. As our Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer you be a key player in supporting the implementation of the project and help to shape and scope the processes and procedures. Core working hours are Monday to Friday 3pm - 12am , with early/late shift working in line with operational shifts, plus a team rota covering out of hours call-outs.

What will I be doing as a Multiskilled Electrical Engineer?

Plan and carry out all planned maintenance and inspections in line with company polices, procedures, working practices and manufacturer requirements.
Attend and fix all reactive faults and identify root causes with a view to resolve and prevent reoccurrence.
Maintain all records, systems and documentation as necessary and in line with company policy and manufacturers requirements
Undertake risk assessments for tasks and ensure safe working practices are followed, in line with Nisbets policies and procedures
Work as a team in order to ensure appropriate cover and support is provided across all operational shifts and working times
Call out external specialist contractors when required, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, issuing permits to work, and supervising and signing off their work.

About You

What are we looking for in a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer?

Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification (City and Guilds, Diploma, NVQ or equivalent)
Experience in the maintenance of warehouse automation equipment
Electrical and mechanical fault finding and maintenance skills
Good general IT skills (MS Excel and other office applications)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
Authentic and agile working approach
